The year is 1969. You are on an expedition, and your destination is Mount Makalu in the Himalayas. The task is to collect topographic and cartographic data at the top of the mountain, located at four kilometers’ height.
However, almost at your destination, your group is caught in a massive avalanche. Fortunately no one is hurt, but most of your equipment is lost. You are forced to start looking for a shelter, because the cold night is slowly creeping up on you. Hours pass, and when you’re almost completely out of hope and energy, you see a sliver of light in the dark. You find it’s a small, snow covered hut, but what awaits inside is beyond anything you ever imagined…
